About the Founder: Adam Laser, a real person with real solutions, one who has stood in the gap during the most vulnerable moments of people's lives. 'I want to ensure that I am doing my part to educate others so that those gaps are as small as possible."
The Perspective of a Practitioner - Safety isn't a checklist; it's a sense of peace that every person deserves.
With over two decades in law enforcement, twenty-two (22) plus years operating where the theoretical meets the tactical. Currently serving as a Patrol Supervisor on the Midnight Shift, current hostage negotiator and a former Hostage Negotiation Commander, a career that has been defined by the hours most people never see. We don’t just study security and threat assessments; we live the reality of emergency response, crime scene analysis, and risk mitigation every single day. Our goal is to be the calm within the storm, ensuring that when you go home at night, you know your environment is truly secure.
Security Through a Human Lens
Beyond the badge, we believe that true security isn’t just about locks and cameras—it is about understanding human agency and the environment in which we operate. Drawing inspiration from thinkers like Jean Paul Sartre we approach threat assessment as a study of "situated freedom": how we can proactively shape our surroundings to limit a bad actor's choices while empowering your people within those spaces to move through their world with confidence, not fear.
The L.A.S.E.R. Mission
Based on the Mason-Dixon line in Southern Pennsylvania, Laser Consulting & Training LLC was founded to provide local businesses, schools, and organizations with a level of insight that corporate firms simply cannot manufacture. We treat your safety as a personal mission because this is our community, too.
We combine the detective’s eye for detail, negotiators read on people and supervisor’s accountability, offering:
Real-World Experience: Thousands of hours responding to active breaches, active crisis and barricade situations, and response to active assailant situations.
Strategic Depth: A writer’s ability to "read" a property or person and identify the hidden narrative exploiting its vulnerabilities or solving their critical dilemma.
Local Commitment: A vested interest in hardening the targets in our own community.
Comprehensive threat assessment is our goal: to identify the "holes in the fence" today before they can be exploited so you can focus on your work and your people tomorrow.
